What customers say?

“ Nicely decorated izakaya at City Market Plaza. We tried its signature lunch omakase with Wagyu beef, veggies, ramen, tofu and veggies. It also came with green tea and a mochi dessert. The meat was very good and veggies were fresh, but the beef based soup was the winner. The service was excellent and friendly. We will come back to try its other dishes. Note: this place is one of the only eateries that closes after lunch period is over and reopens later for dinner. Update Dec 2025: it’s been a while since we’d dined here. W tried its Kamaaina special , which was chopped up ribeye with rice. It was tasty as other dishes we had here. The service was friendly as before. There’s a $20 AYCE hotpot deal that looked good as well. Maybe next time. ”

“ Came here for the $30 AYCE wagyu special they’re running until August 24. The set includes ribeye, roundeye wagyu, pork belly, bok choy, and wonbok, plus your choice of broth. We went with Beefy Wild, Seabura, and Miso. All three were delicious, but the miso was my favorite. The Seabura honestly tasted just like beef stew, so if you love beef stew, that one’s a must-try. As for the meats, the roundeye wagyu was decent, but the ribeye was hands down the star of the show. It was super tender and flavorful. The restaurant itself gives you the vibe of being in Japan at an izakaya, and the Japanese music playing in the background really added to it. Made me miss Japan. Service was solid even though the place was packed, and the staff was working hard to keep up. Overall, a really great meal and definitely worth it for the promotion ”

“ The food was absolutely delicious! I love everything and how it was in such a good price for hot pot. The service was quick and got seated in minutes. The server was sweet and checked on us to make sure how everything is. I saw how quick our food came out. The food was hot and fresh and the chicken was crispy. The soup was very flavorful. Each plating was so unique and beautiful. And how we didn’t had to wait that long for our service. I will definitely come back and highly recommend others to come. ”

“ Finally checked this place off from my list. I had been to their ramen spot in Ward many times, and since they opened the hot pot place I had been wanting to try it. Finally did! A hot pot set with good quality beef, fresh ingredients, delicious broth for lunch for $14.99 including mochi dessert and green tea? You can't beat this. Also their kids menu included rice and fries presented in a cute fire truck, although I'd rather they put karaage chicken instead of sausage in there, so we ordered a separate order of karaage (was just ok). I also ordered their negitoro as a side. The toro itself was blended very well so it's a very smooth texture with good flavor. I was a little surprised that they used Korean seaweed instead of Japanese nori though. The service was friendly. Our server didn't seem to speak English well but he's nice and polite. The place had a very Japanese feel, wooden benches and dividers. It's also cute to have a chalkboard for people to sign their names. The food was overall delicious. For the quality of food, the prices were reasonable too. We would definitely come back if we want some shabu for lunch again! ”

“ An out of the way local spot that does outstanding hot pot. The soups are amazing, home made ramen noodles and top notch cuts of meat. Definitely go if you have a hankering for hot pot! And try the okonomiyaki fries. Delicious! ”

“ Unpretentious local shabu shabu. Had a nutritious shabu shabu lunch before my flight today and everything was perfect. Portion was reasonable for lunch deals and the marinara beef broth was amazing ans creative w hints of oregano along with japanese beef broth. The homemade sesame and chili oil were also so good - acts as a perfect coagulant with garlic, cilantro and a bit of hotpot broth. Quality of meats and vegetables is also very decent for the price. Thanks for this delicious meal ”

“ Today I got to try the ribeye yakiniku teishku lunch special for $16.50 and it was a very good choice. It was a perfect set of lunch. Moreover, the service was friendly and efficient. ”

“ I stumbled upon this place by chance and decided to give it a try. Wagyu Eye Round lunch set $9.99 was such a great deal! I ended up adding a side of rice—which turned out to be the perfect choice. Pouring the soup over the rice is a must! The Chicken Nanban had no garlic and was incredibly tasty. This is absolutely a Japanese restaurant worth recommending. Go treat yourself to something delicious! ”
